For your convenience the apartments have a separate storage/washing room with a washing machine and dryer. Washing machine tablets are provided with the welcome amenities. These tablets are not refilled during the weekly cleaning.

At Corporate Housing Factory we provide cleaning services on a weekly basis. Your designated cleaning day can be found on the welcome letter you received. Weekly cleaning is provided on Monday – Friday. 

We do a general cleaning of your apartment and refresh the linens/towels. If you would like to know what we expect from you, please check the section ‘tenants responsibilities'.

The garbage containers are located in the loading dock on the ground floor (in the South tower).

We separate glass, paper and cardboard as these will be recycled. Garbage disposal is the tenants responsibility during their stay including departure. 

Please help us by recycling as much as possible to keep our environment green and safe!

We offer luggage storage before arrival and after departure. Please contact us 24 hours prior to the arrival or departure date and we will be happy to store the luggage during our opening hours.

The panel in your hallway can be used for various functions, such as the following:

  • Lights
  • Power Sockets
  • Open/Close Blinds
  • Heating

The panel is touchscreen, simply tap the screen to power it on.  

There are 3 separate menus: Start, Functions and Rooms. Each menu can be selected by tapping on it or accessed via the quick access toolbar at the bottom of the screen.   

MENUS:

START
The Start home-screen has enter & leave options.

  • Enter = to turn on all the lights & power  
  • Leave = to turn off all the lights & power  

In order for all the power sockets to operate, the ‘Enter’ button must be pressed.  

 

FUNCTIONS

The Functions menu has multiple items, but the bottom row contains the controls you'll need:

  • Lights - Bottom left icon
    Tap this to adjust the lighting. You can control each room individually, adjusting both brightness (dimming) and on/off settings. Note that if a lamp is turned off at the main wall switch, it cannot be controlled through the panel.
  •  Blinds - Bottom middle icon
    Most apartments have electronic blinds that can be controlled via this panel. First, select the room you want to adjust, then hold the "On" button for a few seconds to open the blinds, or press the "Off" button to close them.
  •  Climate - Bottom right icon
    Use this to adjust the temperature in the apartment through heating or cooling functions:
    • To heat up the apartment, turn on the heating function on this panel and adjust the thermostat to the desired temperature.
    • To cool down the apartment, turn on the cooling function on this panel and adjust the thermostat. Note that the cooling function is not air conditioning; it helps maintain a cooler temperature only if the apartment is already cool.
    • The Climate Off function will turn off both heating and cooling. 

ROOMS

This menu provides quick access to each room's settings, allowing you to adjust the lighting, blinds, and power sockets for each room individually.

Expecting guests? We are happy to place an extra bed in your apartment! If you would like us to place an extra bed in your room, there is an additional charge of €20 per night excluding 21% VAT. 

Kindly be aware that not all apartments can accommodate an additional bed. Please contact the Service Desk, they will provide guidance on the feasibility of adding a bed.

For infants we do have baby cots available. Use of the highchair and baby cot is without extra charge and upon availability. Please contact our Service Desk if you would like us to place these items in your room.

No_smoking_Policy

Corporate Housing Factory is 100% smoke-free.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the building, only outside on the street. Neglecting this rule will result in a fine of €250 (and neither of us wants this to happen).

Therefore, we highly appreciate your cooperation in respecting our no-smoking policy

health_club

Want to relax or workout during your stay in New Amsterdam?

The health club with pool, saunas and gym area is located in the South Tower of the New Amsterdam property. In the lobby you go through the glass door opposite of the elevators. Use the stairs to get to the health club. Hold the blue tag in front of the black display to open the door. Opening times: 06:00 am – 11:00 pm .

Shuttlebus

There is a free shuttlebus (461) which takes you to the shopping center “Gelderlandplein”. For more information use the following link reisinfo.gvb.nl

Public transport card

If you want to travel with public transport, you need to use a OV-chip card.

The anonymous OV-chip card (€7,50) can be purchased at train station counters and reloaded at NS kiosks.

Nevertheless, you can also buy an online card here. 

Do not forget to check yourself in and out to avoid a fine.

Mail_and_Package_Delivery

Mailboxes

Expecting mail? Let us know, we will provide you with a mailbox key.

Please note that if you are staying in a studio-apartment, you have a shared mailbox. The shared mailboxes are emptied by our service desk daily. If we receive mail for you, we will place it in your apartment on the dining table.

If you receive mail for a previous tenant, please drop the letters off at our office.

Moving away but still expecting mail here? Please share your new address with us and we will forward incoming mail to you. Please do not forget to sign out or change your address at the city hall during your

week of your departure.

Package Deliveries

If you would like to order a package during your stay, please use your apartment address. The apartment address is stated on your welcome letter.

Locked Out

Let us know and we will be happy to open the apartment door for you!

If this occurs outside office hours, please call +31 (0)88 1169 501. Company Securitas will come to the property to open the apartment door. Please note that there is an extra charge of €75. We will mail the invoice directly to you. Do not pay the Securitas employee. The payment must be settled by you with our Corporate Housing Factory office.

Loss of keys

In case of a lost electronic apartment key, please inform us as soon as possible so we are able to deactivate your apartment key. When replacing the apartment key, we will be obliged to charge you €50 excluding 21% VAT.

In case of a lost hard key, a fee of €300 excluding 21% VAT will be charged

The 24 hour security desk is located at the entrance of the South tower of the New Amsterdam building.

Please be advised that the security desk is not employed by Corporate Housing Factory.

What to do in case of a fire or emergency/accident?=

- Call 112

- Report:

  • Your name
  • The location: New Amsterdam Building, Claude Debussylaan, 1082 MC Amsterdam (Clearly state your apartment number!)
  • The scope, problem and number of victims

Evacuation

  • Leave the building calmly, do not run
  • Do not use the elevator
  • Go to assembly station across the building at Restaurant Oliver’s

ALWAYS FOLLOW THE INSTURCTIONS FROM THE EMERGENCY SERVICES

Tenants_Responsibility

Please take the following in consideration:

- Please help our cleaning staff and put your personal belongings aside, put used dishes in the dishwasher or sink and make sure the floor is clear on the day our housekeeping staff is scheduled to clean your apartment.

- Dispose of the garbage.

- Avoid dried-on or burnt deposits to prevent damage of the stove.

- Report damage as soon as possible.

We unfortunately have to charge you a minimum fine of €150 in case of noncompliance.
