Nasi Goreng by Jouke Baaima

Jouke Baaima (Director) his mother in law makes the most delicious Nasi Goreng. Normally she never shares her secret recipe. However, she made an exception and is willing to share her secret with all Corporate Housing Factory residents! The best thing about this dish is that is insanely tasty and in addition it is actually quite simple to make.

INGREDIENTS (4 persons)

• 250gr. Bacon – chopped in small cubes

• 1 large onion – chopped in small pieces (red, white, which ever you prefer)

• 5 cloves of garlic – chopped in even smaller pieces (or little less if you think it will harm the people)

• 1 teaspoon of Trassi (powder)

• 4 eggs

• 4 – 6 spoons of Ketjap

• 500 gram cooked white rice

• Oil

• Fried onions 

PREPARATION METHOD

1. Heat oil in a wok over high heat

2. Add the chopped bacon and cook just before it starts to get crispy

3. Add the chopped onion and garlic, stir and cook for 2 minutes

4. Add Trassi and stir a few times

5. Crack and add the eggs, stir and cook until ready

6. Finally add the boiled rice and stir. Add Ketjap (to your own liking) and stir until ready to serve

7. Fry the last egg (sunny side up)

8. Serve the Nasi in a deep plate, add the fried egg on top and top it off with some fried onions. Add some sweet and sour cucumber and prawn crackers
